Ongoing uprising | Demonstrators gather in Al-Suwaidaa city centre, congratulating SDC on the forth forum and calling for decentralisation in Syria

Al-Suwaidaa province: A large number of residents from the villages and towns of Al-Suwaidaa have gathered in Al-Karamah square in Al-Suwaidaa city centre to participate in today’s mass demonstration, as a part of the ongoing uprising and peaceful protests in the province, where the demonstrators have stressed their demands which are manifested in forming a national and decentralized body, overthrowing the Syrian regime’s president, implementing the International Resolution No. 2254 and applying a political transition.

 

The protestors have lifted placards with slogans on them which read, “the decentralisation unit all parties,” “our brothers in SDC, congratulations for your fourth forum. Together for regaining national sovereignty,” “SDF, together for a union federation,” “I will keep going in every way leading to getting rid of Bashar gang,” and “Brotherhoods must leave, your plans have been uncovered.”

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that demonstrations are still ongoing in Al-Suwaidaa province, where tens of people from Al-Suwaidaa city staged a protest in Al-Sir/Al-Karamah square, demanding the toppling of Bashar al-Assad, the applying of peaceful transition of power, the implementation of UN Resolution No.2254 and the release of detainees.
