Having been detained for a month | Civilian from Rif Dimashq dies under torture in regime prison

Rif Dimashq province: A civilian from Hafer Al-Fouqa town in Rif Dimashq died under torture in regime prisons in Damascus, after being detained for nearly a month. It is worth noting that the victim does not belong to any military or local formations, while his cousin was also arrested a month ago by members of regime security services and his fate remains unknown.
Security services of regime forces continue to commit the worst massacres in their prisons, amid international silence about the ongoing violations, while the fate of thousands people who were arrested during the previous times remains unknown.

According to SOHR statistics, the number of people who have died under torture in regime prisons and security centres since early 2023 has reached 47, including a woman, a regime army defector, three young men with a settled-status, a member of the regime’s military security service, a member of a local faction in Al-Suwaidaa, a regime military correspondent and a former member of the “Free Army.”
