With beginning of new year | Civilian shot dead by unknown people and thief shot dead by owners of house in Daraa countryside

Daraa province: Daraa province is still witnessing incidents of security chaos, including killing, kidnapping and targeting, from 2019 until the beginning of this year 2024, despite the control of regime forces in only formal way, but in practice, regime forces have no ability or authority to tighten their grip, as a result of the presence of numerous armed parties in Daraa.
In this context, unknown gunmen directly shot a civilian dead, in Tafas city in the western countryside of Daraa. It is noted that he was a former detainee and was released from regime’s prisons a short period ago.
In another incident, a thief was shot dead by the owners of a house, while attempting to steal their owners’ holdings, in Nada town on the Syrian-Jordanian border.
Yesterday, SOHR reported that a young man working in drilling wells was severely injured after being intercepted by an armed gang, where the gang opened fire directly towards him and pursued him, causing the car to flip on the road between Al-Masifra and Kahil in Daraa countryside and he was taken to hospitals of Damascus to receive proper medication
