Ten hours after clashes | Jordanian forces kill and arrest 20 smugglers in Al-Suwaydaa Desert

Five smugglers were killed and others were injured, while 15 others were arrested by Jordanian forces after intermittent clashes that lasted for ten hours at the borders between Syria and Jordan.

The clashes took place at the line of Al-Hammad Desert and Zaibin Village in Al-Suwaydaa countryside, through which narcotics are smuggled into Jordan before being transported to gulf countries.

Smugglers managed to flee into Syria, ten hours after the clashes started.

The Jordanian forces confiscated large amounts of Captagon and weed, along with the bodies of the victims.
