Old ordnance | Landmine explosion leaves child dead in northern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: A child was killed due to the explosion of an old landmine, while he was playing in a farmland in Mazlum village in northern Deir Ezzor countryside within regime-held area.
It is worth noting that war remnants are prevalent over large geographical areas across Syria, amid inaction by authorities and local organisations which have exerted no efforts to remove them.
On January 1, SOHR sources reported that four children were severely injured due to the explosion of an old landmine, while they were playing in a farmland in Mazlum village in the north-eastern of Deir Ezzor.
The injured children were taken to a hospital for treatment.
