83rd attack in “Revenge for Gaza” | Drone of Iranian militias attacks the US base in Koniko Field

The anti-aircraft weapons of the “International Coalition” Forces shot a drone that was launched by Iran-backed militias targeting Koniko Gas Field in Deir Ezzor countryside. However, no casualties were reported.

The new attack is the 83rd attack on US bases in Syria and the 18th attack on Koniko Field since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza, as part of the “Revenge for Gaza” campaign launched by Iran-backed groups in October, 2023.

Earlier today, International Coalition Forces and Syrian Democratic Forces conducted live-fire military exercises in the US base in Koniko gas field in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor. SOHR activists in areas around the base have reported hearing several explosions, which was caused by exercise by military weapons, amid attacking fake targets with the aim of raising combat readiness.

Iranian-backed groups continue their attacks on US bases in Syria, along with attacks by US aerial and ground forces on positions of Iranian-backed militias in east Euphrates region.
