First case since beginning of new year | Residents find newborn girl in Al-Raqqah city

Al-Raqqah province: Residents found a newborn baby girl abandoned by her parents and dumped near the National Hospital in Al-Raqqah city, within SDF-held areas. This is the first case of its kind since the beginning of the new year 2024.
During 2023, SOHR activists documented 67 cases of abandoned new-born babies across Syria, where they were left in dumpsters, bags and plastic bags in front of mosques and on the roadside.
