Demands dr-ugs and wea-pons proliferation counter | Military police sup-ress popular demonstration in centre of Al-Bab city east of Aleppo

Aleppo province: Members of the Turkish-backed military police suppressed a popular demonstration in which tens of civilians participated, in Al-Bab city, within “Euphrates Shield” area in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, and prevented them to reach “Al-Shaheed Abu Ghanoum” roundabout in the city, where the demonstrators demanded to decrease the prices of the services, the increase of salaries, fighting of corruption, putting an end for the proliferation of chaos in the region and the spread of weapons and drugs. The demonstrators lifted placards with slogans, one of which: “Water is our demand, we are in a state of desertification”, while they settled a tent for a sit-in protest and blocked the roundabout of “Al-Shaheed Abu Ghanoum”, amid a state of great discontent as a result of the catastrophic living and security situation in the region.
This comes in light of the security chaos in areas controlled by the Turkish forces and their proxies.
On January 11, SOHR reported that unidentified gunmen in a “Santa Fe” Car opened fire on a civilian and injured him severely, where the civilian died after being taken to a hospital.
The family of the victim opened fire randomly, killing another civilian with a stray bullet and injuring three others including a member of the National Army, and they were taken to a hospital to receive proper medication
