In preliminary toll | Five persons killed by Israeli missile targeting building in Damascus

Damascus province: A violent explosion was heard in Al-Mazah Villat neighbourhood, west of the capital, Damascus, next to the Al-Muhammadi mosque, as a result of an Israeli missile targeting a 4-storey building, resulting in the death of five persons in an initial toll, and it is not known whether it was launched by the Islamic Jihad movement, the Iranian “Revolutionary Guard” militia or Lebanese Hezbollah. The targeting also resulted in the complete destruction of the building, which included a meeting of leaders close to Iran.
The neighbourhood is known as a security neighbourhood and includes leaders from IRGC and Palestinian leaders close to Iran.
On January 18, SOHR reported that an official within the regime’s military police was injured, in an assassination attempt carried out by unknown people, by planting an IED in a car in Shora residences in Saasaa town, west of Rif Dimashq, within regime-held areas, while a child was killed and three others were injured due to the shrapnel of the IED explosion, and the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. It is noted that the official is from Khan Arnabah city in Al-Qunaitrah countryside.
This comes in light of the ongoing security chaos in regime-held areas.
