Deir Ezzor | IS*IS ambushes patrol of SDF killing and injuring members

Deir Ezzor province: Gunmen of ISIS cells launched a sneak attack with light and medium weapons targeting a patrol of SDF in Al-Hawayj Town in Zaiban area, killing one member and injuring others severely and they were taken to a hospital to receive proper medication.

SOHR has documented 18 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left nine fatalities:

• Six members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

• One ISIS member.

• One civilian.

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

• Deir Ezzor: 13 attacks left three combatants and one civilian dead.

• Al-Hasakah: Two attacks left two combatants dead.

• Al-Raqqah: Two attacks left two combatants dead.

• Aleppo: One attack left one ISIS member dead.
