Two separate incidents | Two civilians murdered in Daraa countryside

Daraa province: A civilian from Nasib village and living in Da’el city was found dead, after having been gone missing a few days ago. The body was found near Sayda bridge with marks of torture. Meanwhile, investigations are underway to disclose the circumstances of the crime.

 

While in Al-Jiza town in Daraa countryside, two young men on a motorcycle throw a grenade on a civilian following a dispute between them, which resulted in the death of the civilian.

 

The Syrian Observatory has documented 30 murders in regime-controlled areas since early 2024, where domestic violence and armed robberies were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 31 fatalities: three children, five women and 23 men. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Daraa: Ten murder crimes left ten fatalities, including a little girl and two women.

 

  • Al-Suwaidaa: Four murder crimes left four fatalities, including a little boy and a woman.

 

  • Rif Dimashq: Four murder crimes left four fatalities, including a little boy and a woman.

 

  • Homs: Three murder crimes left three men dead.

 

  • Hama: Three murder crimes left three men dead.

 

  • Al-Hasakah: Two murder crimes left two men dead.

 

  • Deir Ezzor: Two murder crimes left two men dead.

 

  • Damascus: One murder crime left a woman dead.

 

  • Latakia: One murder crime left two men dead.
