Ongoing security chaos in Daraa | Child killed by IED explosion in Al-Sanamayn

Daraa province: SOHR sources have reported that a child died of the wounds he sustained by the explosion of an IED on February 6 in the western neighbourhood of Al-Sanamayn city in the northern countryside of Daraa.

 

On February 6, SOHR sources reported that a member of the Public Intelligence Administration and a civilian and his 12 year-old son were injured, due to the explosion of an IED planted by unidentified gunmen in the western neighbourhood in Al-Sanmin City in northern Daraa countryside, where the injured people were taken to a hospital to receive proper medication.

 

Since early 2024, SOHR activists have documented 28 incidents of security disorder in Daraa province, which left 40 people dead; and they are as follows:

 

  • Five civilians, including two children and a woman.

 

  • 17 regime soldiers, members and collaborators with regime security services.

 

  • Four men accused of “involving in drug business.”

 

  • One member of the Russian-backed 8th

 

  • Ten ISIS member, including a commander.

 

  • Three members of local factions.
