Israel denies involvement in the attack | Missiles hit Al-Mazzah military airport in the capital Damascus

Violent explosions were heard in the capital Damascus and the surrounding areas as a result of new attacks on Syrian territory. The attacks hit the surroundings of Al-Mazzah military airport in western Damascus, which hosts positions of Iranian-backed militias and Lebanese Hezbollah, amid attempts by regime’s air-defences to intercept the missiles.
It is worth noting that shrapnel of a missile of the air-defences hit a house in the vicinity of Al-Sayyadah Zainab in southern Damascus.
However, no casualties have been reported yet.
SOHR sources reported the arrival of a cargo plane at Al-Mazzah military airport hours before targeting it , while Israeli sources denied Israel’s responsibility for this attack.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that funeral reception tent were established in Rif Dimashq and Deir Ezzor for offering condolences to the families of “Haj Abu Baqer,” the leader in Hezbollah who was killed in Iraq, and other militiamen and commanders who were killed in the recent strikes by Israeli and US forces in Syria.
In this context, SOHR sources have reported that a funeral reception tent was established in the “hosayniya” of Al-Sabateen in Sayeda Zeinab city in the presence of commanders and clergymen.
Another funeral reception tent was established and a banquet was held in the “hosayniya” of Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq in Hatla town in Dier Ezzor countryside attended by military and security commanders and residents of Hatla town. The attendants have confirmed their adherence to resistance against the USA and Israel.
