Torture victim | Writer dies in the infamous Saidaniyah Prison in Al-Suwaydaa

Al-Suwaydaa province: A civilians working as a writer and a poet from Al-Suwaydaa died under brutal torture in the infamous Saidaniyah Prison, where a patrol of the Military Intelligence stormed his house and arrested him in Sahnaya City in Rif Dimashq in 2014.

According to reliable SOHR sources, his family has been waiting for him to return until discovering that he died under brutal torture nearly two weeks after being arrested.

It is worth noting that he participated in peaceful protests against the regime.

According to SOHR statistics, the number of people who have died under torture in regime prisons and security centres since early 2024 has reached nince, including a political activist, a writer and a university student.
