With machineguns | “ISIS” cells attack two “SDF” members in eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: An SDF member was killed, and the other was injured, in a machinegun attack carried out by “ISIS” cells, while they were in the market of Thiban town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. According to SOHR activists, one of the members was targeted inside a cell phone shop in the town, while the second was targeted on the road near the same shop, and the injured member was taken to the hospital for treatment.
In parallel, shops were closed in the market of Thiban town for fear of targeting.
SOHR has documented 31 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 17 fatalities:
• 13 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
• One ISIS member.
• three civilians.
These operations are distributed regionally as follows:
• Deir Ezzor: 23 attacks left seven combatants and two civilians dead.
• Al-Hasakah: Four attacks left three combatants and one civilian dead.
• Al-Raqqah: Three attacks left three combatants dead.
• Aleppo: One attack left one ISIS member dead
