Ongoing uprising in Al-Suwaidaa | Dozens of people participate in protest demanding freedom and toppling of Syrian regime

Al-Suwaidaa province: Dozens of people from Al-Suwaidaa participated in a protest toured several streets and set off from Al-Fursan square to Al-Sir square in Al-Suwaidaa city centre, amid chanting anti-regime slogans, demanding the overthrow of the Syrian regime, the implementation of UN Resolution No.2254, the release of detainees and freedom.
The protesters hold banners with slogans written on them that read: “the unity of efforts builds the country,” “Hand in hand to reach our freedom.”

Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that a number of civilians gathered in front of the Education Directorate in Al-Suwaidaa city to prevent the Director of Education from entering, after a deadline given by representatives of the protesting residents to the Directorate to cancel the decision of dismissing a teacher, because of his criticism of the head of the regime “Bashar Al-Assad”, and after the civilians entered the Education Directorate building, they discovered the presence of the director of education, who spent the night inside the building for fear of being prevented from entering. This was preceded by protesters tearing up pictures of the head of the regime “Bashar Al-Assad”, in the directorate building in protest against the dismissal of the teacher.
