IS*IS resurgence | 12 members of regime forces kil*led and injured in Hama desert

Nine members of the regime forces were killed and three others were injured in an attack by ISIS cells on a position of the regime forces in Duwaizin area in eastern Hama countryside.

According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024 has increased to 115; and they are as follows:
• 17 ISIS members were killed by regime forces and their proxy militias.
• 90 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 13 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen, were killed in 41 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs.
• Eight civilians, including a child, were killed in attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert.
Here is a regional distribution of ISIS attacks:
-Deir Ezzor desert: 12 operations left 27 fatalities:
• 25 combatants, including seven Iranian-backed militiamen.
• Two ISIS members.
-Homs desert: 22 operations left 49 fatalities:
• 36 combatants, including three Iranian-backed militiamen.
• 12 ISIS members.
• One civilian.
-Al-Raqqah desert: Three operations left 14 fatalities:
• 11 combatants.
• Three ISIS members.
-Hama desert: Three operations left 17 fatalities:
• Ten combatants.
• Seven civilians, including a child.
-Aleppo: One operation left three Iranian-backed militiamen dead
