A day after being kidnapped | Residents find the body of a civilian in Rif Dimashq

Rif Dimashq province: Residents have found the body of a civilian, who was killed by gunshots and his body was dumped near Qaws Yelda in Rif Dimashq.

It is worth noting that he was kidnapped by unidentified people yesterday and his body was found today.

This comes in light of the ongoing security chaos in regime-held areas.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 39 murders in regime-controlled areas since the bingeing of 2024, where domestic violence and armed robberies were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 49 fatalities, including seven women, 30 men and three children. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:
• Daraa: 12 murder crimes left 12 people, including three women and a child dead.

• Al-Suwaidaa: Four murder crimes left two men, a woman and a child dead

• Rif Dimashq: Six murder crimes left six, including a woman and a child dead.

• Homs: Four murder crimes left four civilians dead.

• Hama: Three murder crimes left three civilians dead.

• Al-Hasakah: Two murder crimes left two civilians dead.

• Deir Ezzor: Three murder crime left three men dead.

• Damascus: One murder crime left a woman dead.

• Lattakia: Two murder crimes left two men and a woman dead.

• Tartous: Two murder crime left two men dead
