Following attack on house of Iranian-backed commander’s son | Rapid Intervention Brigade chases pro-regime militiamen in northern Homs

Two persons killed in discriminate gunfire during the chase

Homs province: Armed clashes with light and medium weapons erupted in Al-Rastan city in northern Homs countryside between members of the Rapid Intervention Brigade of the pro-Iranian 47th Brigade and an armed group affiliated with a regime ally militia following an attack by members of the armed group on a house belonging to the son of the leader of the Rapid Intervention Brigade, who is called “Khaer Allah Abdulbarei, aslo known as “Kheiro Al-Sha’aebah”.


According to reliable SOHR sources “Khaer Allah Abdulbarei” is the leader of the Iranian-backed Rapid Intervention Brigade in southern Hama countryside.


After the attack, members of the Bridge’s members chased the armed group in the city’s streets, amid the use of grenades and firing bullets indiscriminately, where two persons were killed in the indiscriminate gunfire.


On February 15,  SOHR sources reported that two gunmen died of the wounds they sustained in the fierce clashes with light and medium weapons between a family from Al-Dalbouz town and a family from Al-Mazra’a town, which erupted following disagreements between the two families which are supported by the Lebanese Hezbollah and security services.


Accordingly, the number of fatalities in those clashes has increased to three.


On February 14, SOHR sources reported that a member of the Lebanese Hezbollah was killed during those clashes, amid security mobilization in several neighbourhoods of Homs City to prevent the escalation of the situation.
