Without security guarantees | Four people, including woman, leave Al-Rukban camp towards regime-held areas

Four people, including a woman, left Al-Rukban camp within the 55-kilometer de-confliction zone near the Syria-Iraq-Jordan border triangle towards regime-held areas, with no security guarantees protecting them from being arrested.

According to reliable SOHR sources those people left the camp for receiving medical treatment, where three people headed towards Homs province and the woman headed towards Deir Ezzor province.

It is worth noting that this is the first batch in 2024.

On October 27, 2023, SOHR sources reported that a family of four members left Al-Rukban camp that is located within the 55-kilometer de-confliction zone near Syria-Iraq-Jordan border, towards regime-held areas, with no security guarantees protecting them from being arrested.

It Is worth noting that the people left due to dreadful living conditions, deteriorating services and poor medical care in the camp.
