Second attack in hours | Israel forces attack positions of Iranian-backed militias in southwest Damascus

SOHR sources have reported that explosions were heard in the capital, Damascus, and its surroundings as a result of a new Israeli attack on positions of Iranian-backed militias in southwestern Damascus, amid attempting by regime’s air-defences to foil the attack.
However, no casualties have been reported yet.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces fired missiles on areas on the vicinity of Bayat Jen in western Damascus countryside near the border with the occupied Syrian Golan.

Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that a Syrian civilian was killed by shrapnel from the Israeli targeting of a residential apartment in Kafar Sousah area in the capital, Damascus, where he was under the building at the time of the targeting. Accordingly, the number of fatalities increased to three; a civilian, and two of non-Syrian nationality whose identity is not yet known, where they were killed in the targeted apartment, which is located near the Iranian school. It is worth noting that leaders from the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard frequent the area.
The targeting also caused injuries and material damage to the targeted apartment and the building it is located within, amid information about other deaths. This assassination is similar to the assassination of Saleh Al-Arouri, the vice president of Hamas and the movement’s leader in the West Bank, after a drone targeted the movement’s offices in the southern suburb of Beirut.
