Security chaos | Young man shot de*ad by his friend in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: Residents have found the body of a young man in his 20s, where he was shot in different areas of his body inside a premade chamber in Al-Tawatha Village eastern of Deir Ezzor within regime-held areas.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the victim’s friend opened fire on him with his rifle.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 46 murders in regime-controlled areas since the bingeing of 2024, where domestic violence and armed robberies were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 47 fatalities, including eight women, 36 men and three children. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:

Daraa: 14 murder crimes left nine men, including four women and a child dead.

Al-Suwaidaa: Five murder crimes left three men, a woman and a child dead

Rif Dimashq: Seven murder crimes left five men, a woman and a child dead.

Homs: Four murder crimes left four civilians dead.

Hama: Three murder crimes left three civilians dead.

Al-Hasakah: Two murder crimes left two civilians dead.

Deir Ezzor: Five murder crimes left five men dead.

Damascus: Two murder crimes left a woman and a man dead.

Lattakia: Two murder crimes left two men and a woman dead.

Tartous: Two murder crimes left two men dead.
