Hama | Two children and their father injured in attack on motorcycle by drone of Iranian-backed militias in western countryside

A drone of Iranian-backed militias attacked a motorcycle in the vicinity of Al-Qarqour village in Sahil Al-Ghab in western Hama. The attack left two children and their father injured, where they were taken to a hospital for treatment.


On February 18, SOHR sources reported that a member of HTS working as a “truck” driver was killed and two others were injured severely, after two machineries on Afis frontline in Idlib countryside were targeted by two kamikaze drones that set off from positions of the regime forces.


Moreover, another drone targeted Ma’arablit frontline in Idlib countryside. However, no casualties were reported.


Since early 2024, SOHR has documented 64 operations in the “de-escalation zone,” including attacks, gunfire by snipers and bombardment, which left 65 combatants and civilians dead. In addition, these operations left over 23 combatants and 47 civilians, including six children, injured.


The fatalities can be distributed as follows:


  • Ten civilians, including four children and a woman.


  • 35 members of regime forces, including an officer.


  • 15 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham.


  • Four members of “Ansar Al-Islam” faction.


  • One member of “Jaysh Al-Nasr.”
