Al-Suwaidaa | Angry protesters storm Al-Baath Party branch

Al-Suwaidaa province: Protesters from Al-Suwaidaa stormed “Al-Baath Party” branch, the “Eastern Branch” in Al-Suwaidaa city, rejecting the “party’s” attempts to impose itself, against the backdrop of the presence of its representatives in some union conferences in the province. They chanted slogans against the regime, describing it as a “traitor”.
This comes in light of the authoritarianism., oppression and tyranny practiced by the regime forces and its intelligence branches on civilians and the starvation that the regime has used against its people for years.
Today, SOHR reported that protesters blocked several roads in Al-Suwaidaa countryside, in response to calls made by activists in the peaceful movement, to begin a general strike in the province today. Protesters blocked, with burning tires, Damascus-Al-Suwaidaa road, in Al-Shahba city, Al-Qanawat town road in the eastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, Al-Mazraah town in the western countryside and the entrance of Al-Qarayah town, in addition to one of the main roads inside the city, while they allowed ambulances and university and school students to pass.
Dozens of civilians gathered in front of the Agricultural Engineers Union building in Al-Suwaidaa city, in response to calls, to denounce the regime and its government and to reject the Baath Party’s interference in the unions.
