Deir Ezzor | ISIS cells attack oil truck belonging to investor in Al-Jerthi town

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that unknown gunmen believed to be of an ISIS cell on a motorcycle opened fire on an oil truck belonging to an oil investor in the SDF-controlled town of Al-Jerthi in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which resulted in burning the truck. However, no casualties have been reported.

 

SOHR has documented 42 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 24 fatalities:

 

  • 15 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

 

  • One ISIS member.

 

  • Four guards worked for the Autonomous Administration.

 

  • Four civilians.

 

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Deir Ezzor: 31 attacks left seven combatants and three civilians dead.

 

  • Al-Hasakah: Five attacks left five combatants and a civilian dead.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: Five attacks left three combatants and four guards of an institution of the Autonomous Administration dead.

 

  • Aleppo: One attack left one ISIS member dead.
