Airdrop | Coalition Forces and SDF arrest nine people accused of “belonging to ISIS cells” in north Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: International Coalition Forces carried out an airdrop, with the participation of Syrian Democratic Forces, in the early hours of Friday morning in Al-Hariji town in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, after besieging the region. During the security operation, nine people were arrested for “belonging to ISIS cells,” and their whereabouts remains unknown.

This comes as a part of the joint security operations by the International Coalition and SDF in different areas in north-east Syria to prosecute ISIS affiliates.

On February 23, SOHR sources reported that the counter-terrorism forces of SDF and the International Coalition carried out a security operation and arrested a member of ISIS in Abo Al-Naital Village eastern of Deir Ezzor City.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the member was planning on carrying out a security operation against civil and military institutions in SDF-held areas, while an amount of weapons were in his possession.
