IS*IS resurgence | Gu*nmen attack military checkpoint of SDF and kil*l member of National Defence in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: A member of the “National Defence” Forces was killed after being shot directly by ISIS cells in Jazarat Al-Bohimeed Village in western Deir Ezzor countryside.

On the same context, ISIS cells opened fire with machineguns and fired missiles on a military position of SDF on a mountain in Al-Baseera City eastern of Deir Ezzor. However, no casualties were reported.

SOHR has documented 46 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 25 fatalities:
• 14 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
• Two ISIS member.
• Four civilians.
• Four guards working with the Autonomous Administration.

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:
• Deir Ezzor: 36 attacks left nine combatants and three civilians dead.
• Al-Hasakah: Five attacks left three combatants, two ISIS members and one civilian dead.
• Al-Raqqah: Five attacks left three combatants and four guards working with the Autonomous Administration dead.
