IS*IS resurgence | Gu*nman attack truck carrying oil tank in Al-Hasakah countryside

A gunman on a motorbike, who is believed to belong to ISIS, opened fire with a machinegun targeting an oil tank on the road between Al-Hawl and Al-Hasakah, damaging the tank.

SOHR has documented 49 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 26 fatalities:
• 14 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
• Three ISIS member.
• Four civilians.
• Four guards working with the Autonomous Administration.

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

• Deir Ezzor: 38 attacks left nine combatants and three civilians dead.

• Al-Hasakah: Six attacks left three combatants, one civilian and two ISIS members dead.

• Al-Raqqah: Five attacks left three combatants and four guards working with the Autonomous Administration dead.
