Near frontlines | Displaced civilian injured by gunshots of members of SDF northern of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: A displaced young man from Hatla Town was injured after being directly shot by members of a patrol of SDF, while returning from his workplace in Ma’izaila Town northern of Deir Ezzor.

Civilians are targeted on the frontlines between SDF-held areas and regime-held areas, in fear of infiltration operations and military attacks by members of both parties.

On January 21, a child was injured with stray bullets in Buqrous Town in Deir Ezzor countryside, where it is believed the bullets were fired by SDF members stationed on the side of the river in Al-Shahil City eastern of Deir Ezzor, while they were shooting towards the town. The child was taken to a hospital to receive proper medication.
