With participation of Afghan Fatmiyoun Brigade | Large reinforcements arrive in Palmyra city to comb large areas in Syrian desert

For four days, regime forces have continued to send military reinforcements to the Syrian desert, in preparation for the start of the combing operation of the area from “ISIS” cells.
In this context, SOHR activists reported that reinforcements, including regime soldiers and military vehicles, continued to arrive in Palmyra city, where they were stationed in Al-Sinaah neighbourhood, to comb a wide area in the Syrian desert, including Jabal Al-Bushri, Jabal Al-Amour, Jabal Shaer and Palmyra desert.
Fatmiyoun Brigade militia is also preparing in large numbers to participate in this combing campaign.
The desert is witnessing a considerable activity by “ISIS” cells, from which their attacks are launched against positions and posts of the regime forces and the militias loyal to them.
On March 4, SOHR reported that the “National Defence” militia and Al-Quds Brigade began a large combing campaign in Al-Masrab desert in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, searching for “ISIS” cells, against the backdrop of their increasing activity in the Syrian desert.
Accordingly, approximately 35 military vehicles set out from Deir Ezzor city and from “National Defence” positions and sites in its western countryside, within areas controlled by regime forces and Iranian militias, and headed towards the western desert in Deir Ezzor, to participate in the campaign
