Military escalation | Civilian killed in attack by regime kamikaze drone and regime soldier shot dead by HTS sniper in western Aleppo

A civilian was killed due to an attack by a regime’s kamikaze drone on a tractor in Kafr Nouran village in western Aleppo countryside within “Putin-Erdogan” area.


Similarly, a regime soldier was shot dead by a sniper of HTS on the frontline of Al-Sheikh Aqeel in western Aleppo countryside.


Meanwhile, regime forces fired heavy artillery shells on the vicinity Kansafra and Al-Fatirah villages in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib countryside.


Since early 2024, SOHR has documented 104 operations in the “de-escalation zone,” including attacks, gunfire by snipers and bombardment, which left 106 combatants and civilians dead. In addition, these operations left over 45 combatants and 51 civilians, including six children, injured.


The fatalities can be distributed as follows:


  • 14 civilians, including five children and a woman.


  • 61 members of regime forces, including an officer.


  • 26 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham.


  • Four members of “Ansar Al-Islam” faction.


  • One member of “Jaysh Al-Nasr.”
