Amid arrival of military reinforcement | Infighting erupts between two families backed by regime-affiliated militias in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that clashes erupted between the families of “Al-Jabe” and “Al-Najras” which are backed by regime-affiliated militias in Al-Asharah city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, along with arrival of reinforcement of both sides and gunmen at the site of clashes.

 

Meanwhile, regime forces have sent military reinforcement from Al-Mayadeen city to break up the clashes.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that the commander of a group affiliated with “Qatirji” militias was shot dead by members of an armed group in front of headquarters of the militias in Deir Ezzor city, while fingers were pointed at the National Defense Forces due to disagreements between both sides.

 

According to reliable SOHR sources, the dead commander was leading smuggling groups that carry out smuggling operations between SDF-held area and regime-held areas.

 

“Al-Qatirji” militia is a military group of “Al-Qatirji” oil company which led by “Hussam Al-Qatirji” and it is responsible for transporting oil from  northern and eastern regions of Syria towards regime-held areas in the southern provinces.”
