Dea*th toll update | Two truffle collectors kil*led by IS*IS cells in Al-Raqqa Desert

A young man died affected by the wounds he sustained in an attack by gunmen of ISIS targeting a group of truffle workers in the desert of eastern Al-Raqqa countryside within areas of regime forces and Iranian militias.

Earlier today, SOHR activists reported that a young man was killed and two others were injured due to an attack by gunman believed to be of ISIS cells on truffle pickers in a desert in western Al-Raqqah countryside within area controlled by regime forces and Iranian-backed militias.

According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024 has increased to 232; and they are as follows:

24 ISIS members were killed by regime forces and their proxy militias.
171 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 16 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen, were killed in 91 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs.
37 civilians, including a child, were killed in attacks by ISIS in the Syrian Desert.
Here is a regional distribution of ISIS attacks:

-Deir Ezzor desert: 33 operations left 81 fatalities:

58 combatants, including seven Iranian-backed militiamen.
Five ISIS members.
18 civilians, including 17 truffle pickers.
-Homs desert: 41 operations left 94 fatalities:

68 combatants, including three Iranian-backed militiamen.
16 ISIS members.
Ten civilians, including two truffle pickers.
-Al-Raqqah desert: Ten operations left 25 fatalities:

20 combatants.
Three ISIS members.
Two civilians.

-Hama desert: Six operations left 31 fatalities:

24 combatants, including a member of Iranian-backed militias.
Seven civilians, including a child.
-Aleppo: One operation left three Iranian-backed militiamen dead.
