Security chaos | Man and his wife killed in a horrific crime in regime-held areas in Rif Dimashq

Rif Dimashq province: Residents discovered a horrific crime, where a man in his 60s and his wife were killed by being strangled and bullets were found inside their house, in Bait Saber Village in Rif Dimashq, while the local authorities interfered to reveal the details of the crime.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the victims were reported missing nearly 24 hours ago, which makes it likely that the crime took place yesterday during a robbery.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 83 murders in regime-controlled areas since the bingeing of 2024, where domestic violence and armed robberies were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 91 fatalities, including 15 women, 71 men and five children. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:

Daraa: 26 murder crimes left 22 men, including seven women and two children dead.

Al-Suwaidaa: Eight murder crimes left six men, a woman and a child dead

Rif Dimashq: 15 murder crimes left 11 men, four women and two children dead.

Homs: Ten murder crimes left ten civilians dead.

Hama: Five murder crimes left five civilians dead.

Al-Hasakah: Two murder crimes left two civilians dead.

Deir Ezzor: seven murder crimes left six men and a woman dead.

Damascus: Four murder crimes left a woman and three men dead.

Lattakia: Three murder crimes left three men and a woman dead.

Tartous: Three murder crimes left three men dead.
