Death toll update | Woman and her son among 16 people killed in Israeli raid on building attached to Iranian embassy

The death toll increased again to 16: 14 combatants, including seven leaders of the Iranian “Revolutionary Guard”, commanders of “Axis of Resistance” operations room in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, in addition to the death of a woman and her son, as a result of the Israeli raids on a building attached to the Iranian embassy, on Mazzah Highway in Damascus.
The woman and her son lived on the fourth floor of the targeted four-storey building, the first two floors of which are rented by the embassy while the third is a home for the Iranian ambassador.
Among the killed were “Mohamed Reda Zahdy”, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in Syria, Lebanon and Palestine, his deputy, office director and other Iranian advisors.
In addition to “Hussein Amir Allah” the head of the department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards in Syria, Lebanon and Palestine, amid information regarding other casualties under the ruins of the building.
SOHR documented 31 attacks in 2024: 22 airstrikes and nine rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 60 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 129 combatants and injured 47 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:

21 Iranian members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
20 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
12 Iraqi persons.
28 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.
Ten Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.
38 regime soldiers.
In addition, those attacks left t12 civilians, including two women dead, and nearly 20 other civilians injured.

The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:

Damascus and Rif Dimashq: 15 attacks.
Daraa: Eight attacks.
Homs: Three attacks.
Al-Quneitra: Two attacks.
Tartus: One attack.
Deir Ezzor: One attack.
Aleppo: One attack.
