Security chaos | Young man shot de*ad by unidentified gu*nmen in Rif Dimashq

Rif Dimashq province: A young man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen after they shot his car in Al-Jabba Town in Al-Qalmoun area in Rif Dimashq, with no information regarding the shooters or their motivations.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 93 murders in regime-controlled areas since early 2024, where domestic violence and armed robberies were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 101 fatalities: five children, 16 women and 80 young and adult men. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:

• Daraa: 29 murder crimes left 25 men, two children and seven women dead.

• Al-Suwaidaa: Eight murder crimes left six men a little boy and a woman dead.

• Rif Dimashq: 19 murder crimes left 15 men, two children and four women dead.

• Homs: 11 murder crimes left 11 men dead.

• Hama: Five murder crimes left five men dead.

• Al-Hasakah: Two murder crimes left two men dead.

• Deir Ezzor: Seven murder crimes left six men and a woman dead.

• Damascus: Five murder crimes left two women and three men dead.

• Latakia: Three murder crimes left three men and a woman dead.

• Tartus: Three murder crimes left three men dead.

• Al-Qonaitara: One murder crime left one man dead.
