SDF-held areas are witnessing a remarkable escalation in armed attacks by local gunmen under the guidance of the Lebanese Hezbollah in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
On April 10, SOHR sources reported that local gunmen attacked military positions of Syrian Democratic Forces on the Euphrates river’s bank in Theban and Abu Hardoub towns in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, using RPGs and machineguns. Meanwhile, SDF responded by opening fire on the source of the attack, but no casualties have been reported.
