SOHR | “Reports by Turkish forces on the death of three Kurdish fighters in Euphrates Shield area untrue”

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced today in a statement the killing of three members of Kurdish units, while attempting to carry out an attack on areas controlled by Turkish forces and factions of the “National Army” in “Euphrates Shield area.

Meanwhile, SOHR sources have denied the Turkish claims about the attack, where “Euphrates Shield” area has not witnessed any attacks or infiltration operations during the past few hours by members of Kurdish units.

On January 19, SOHR activists denied the news announced by the Turkish Ministry of Defence in a statement regarding the death of seven fighters in northern Syria, where the ministry stated that it neutralized seven fighters of the “Kurdistan Workers’ Party” and Kurdish forces, in addition to neutralizing three fighters in northern Iraq, according to the statement.

Reliable SOHR sources confirmed that areas in northern Syria haven’t witnessed the death of any fighters during the past few hours, denying the statement of the Turkish Ministry of Defence.
