Exchanged attacks | Two children injured under shelling by regime forces on houses of civilians in “Putin-Erdogan” area in Idlib

Two children were injured under shelling by the regime forces with artillery shells and missiles targeting residential neighbourhoods in the centre of Sarmin City eastern of Idlib, while shells also hit Afis Town near Sarmin.

Since early 2024, SOHR has documented 153 operations in the “de-escalation zone,” including attacks, gunfire by snipers and bombardment, which left 181 combatants and civilians dead. In addition, these operations left over 62 combatants and 73 civilians, including eight children, injured.
The fatalities can be distributed as follows:
* 18 civilians, including seven children and two women.
* 110 members of regime forces, including eight officers.
* 46 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham.
* Five members of “Ansar Al-Islam” faction.
* One member of “Jaysh Al-Nasr.”
* One non-Syrian jihadist.
