Al-Hasakah | Turkish drone attacks oil station in Al-Qamishli countryside

Al-Hasakah province: A Turkish weaponized drone attacked Al-Sa’idah oil station in Al-Qahtaniyah town in Al-Qamishli countryside in northern Al-Hasakah. The attack caused material damage to the station, but no casualties have been reported.


Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that a Turkish drone attacked a car carrying a female commander of a military formation operating in areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration in Ain Al-Batt village to the east of Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) in eastern Aleppo. The attack resulted in serious injuries to the commander and burning down the car, while the car’s driver survived.


Since early 2024, the Syrian Observatory has reported 73 airstrikes carried out by Turkish drones on different positions in areas controlled by Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria (AANES). These attacks killed 22 persons and injured over 17 combatants and five civilians, including a woman and three children.


The fatalities are distributed as follows:


  • 18 members of military formations operating in SDF-controlled areas.


  • Three regime soldiers.


  • One civilian.


Here is a regional distribution of Turkish airstrikes on SDF-held areas in 2024:


  • Al-Hasakah: 55 airstrikes left three regime soldiers, 11 combatants and one civilian dead.


  • Al-Raqqah: Four airstrikes left three combatants dead.


  • Aleppo: 14 airstrikes left four combatants dead.
