Affected by his injuries | Commander in HTS dies in attack by regime’s kamikaze drone on Kabana frontline in northern Latakia countryside

The commander of the special forces of “Othman bin Afan Bridge” which operates under the banner of HTS died affected by the injury he sustained days ago due to an attack by a regime kamikaze drone on Kabana frontline in Jabal Al-Akrad in northern Latakia countryside.

112 kamikaze drones (FPV drones) attacked different residential and military positions across the “de-escalation zone” since the beginning of such attacks on February 6.
Those attacks left 25 people dead and 26 others injured in different areas in Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia and Hama countryside.

Since early 2024, SOHR has documented 164 operations in the “de-escalation zone,” including attacks, gunfire by snipers and bombardment, which left 191 combatants and civilians dead. In addition, these operations left over 69 combatants and 80 civilians, including 12 children, injured.
The fatalities can be distributed as follows:
* 18 civilians, including seven children and two women.
* 116 members of regime forces, including eight officers.
* 49 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham.
* Five members of “Ansar Al-Islam” faction.
* One member of “Jaysh Al-Nasr.”
* One member of Jaish Al-Ahrar.
* One non-Syrian jihadist.
