Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) | Internal Security Forces clash with human traffickers towards Turkey and arrest three of them

Aleppo province: The Internal Security Forces “Asayish” arrested three smugglers in Kharab Ishk village in the countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani), east of Aleppo, where they were smuggling people from Al-Raqqah to Qarmoh village in the countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani), which is considered a smuggling line separating the Syrian-Turkish border.
Subsequently, armed clashes erupted between the smugglers and members of the Internal Security Forces “Asayish”, without any casualties, and they were taken to a security centre.
It is worth noted that Gharib, Al-Qaraman, Goran, Qara Mogh and Kharbasan villages in the countryside of Ayn Al-Arab (Kobani), east of Aleppo, are considered a smuggling line, which people from Al-Raqqah, Minbij, Al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor areas go to, during their search for a safe haven.
On April 12, SOHR reported that Syrians seeking a safe haven are still exposed to the worst types of violations and risks when they cross the Syrian-Turkish border through smuggling routes in the countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani), east of Aleppo, sometimes by the Turkish border guards “Jandarma”, and other times by human traffickers, after paying huge sums in search of a better life.
In this context, SOHR activists reported that about ten people, including five women from Al-Raqqah, were thrown into Syria through the border wall, specifically in Gharib village in the countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani), while they were undressed, after being subjected to robbery and abuse by the Turkish border guards “Jandarma”, while they were crossing the Syrian-Turkish border during the late night hours.
