To avoid responsibility of field exec*ution | Military Police arrest members of a patrol with public demands to release them

Aleppo province: Dozens of people went out on protests in front of the Military Police Department in A’zaz City within “Euphrates Shield” areas, demanding the release of members of a patrol of the Military Police, who were arrested to be investigated in an execution of two suspects accused of “causing an explosion in A’zaz City Market on March 31.”

The Military Police accuse the members, who were moving the suspects to the Military Police Department, of “facilitating the kidnapping of the suspects by gunmen of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah and their execution”, to avoid the responsibility of the execution after the circulation of videos showing the brutality of the perpetrators.

On April 25, members of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” which operates under the banner of the “National Army” executed two young men accused of “being behind the bombing of the car bomb” in a popular market on March 31, in Azaz city in northern Aleppo countryside without judicial trial, where the members burn and threw the victims’ bodies in the middle of Azaz city’s market.
The faction attempts to evade accountability of execution the young men without a judicial trial, claiming that they handed the victims over to the military police for trial.
This came in light of ongoing security chaos and the commission of war crimes that contradict international law and conventions, especially when civilians are executed without trial.
