Security vacuum | Clashes between two families leave several people injured in rural Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Violent clashes erupted between two families in the regime-controlled town of Al-Hawayij in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor. The clashes left several people injured.

Meanwhile, tribal elders and dignitaries appealed to the two families to stop the clashes and turn to dialogue to settle the dispute.

This coincides with the escalating security chaos and proliferation of arms in regime-controlled areas and the verity of military formations imposing their influence in different areas.

On April 7, SOHR sources reported that a civilian died affected by the injury he sustained yesterday due to armed clashes between two families, following the renewal of an old vendetta in Al-Dower town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside within areas controlled by regime forces and Iranian-backed militias.

A day earlier, SOHR sources reported that three people were injured in armed clashes between two families after the renewal of an old vendetta in Al-Daweer Town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside in regime-held areas, amid appeals to dignitaries of the region to break the clashes.
