Ongoing protests | Civilians and families of fighters of “National Army” condemn Turkey actions after capturing Syrians in Niger fights

Aleppo province: Dozens of civilians of Hama gathered in protests in Afrin City in northern Aleppo countryside, after Turkey captured fighters of the “National Army” in Niger for “fighting with Russian forces.”

They sent a message to the leaders of the “National Army” responsible for this campaign saying, “why are you sending our sons to Niger to fight with the Russian who killed our people?”, “are you responsible for our children?” and “what are your standards?”, despising what some commanders do by sending fighters to fight with Russian forces in Niger.

On May 8, five members of Syrian mercenaries fighting with Turkey in Niger were killed, raising the number of casualties to nine.

The north western regions of Syria witnessed public discontent, after the circulation of videotapes, a copy of which was obtained by SOHR showing the ferocity of the battles in Niger, and another showing a group of Syrian mercenaries fighting in Niger alongside Turkey and Russia.

Civilians criticized the exploitation of the state of the people of Syria to turn them into mercenaries to force them into wars outside their country.

Moreover, residents and activists called members of Turkish-backed factions such as Al-Amshat and Al-Sultan Mourad to defect from these factions, as they commit violations against the people of Syria.
