In airdrop operation | Two leaders of “ISIS” arrested near Syrian-Iraqi border

Deir Ezzor province: Two leaders of “ISIS” were arrested, in an airdrop operation carried out by both the “International Coalition” forces and SDF, in Um Ghurbah town in the northern desert of Deir Ezzor, near the Syrian-Iraqi border, in conjunction with the imposition of a security cordon and deployment of forces.
The houses of the arrested members were also destroyed by the raiding forces as a result of the exchange of heavy weapons by both sides.
According to SOHR activists, the two leaders were responsible for passing “ISIS” members to Syria and Iraq. One of the leaders was released about a year ago by SDF after a 3-year detention, and they were taken to a security agency, amid tightening the security grip.
It is noted that the two arrested leaders are from Al-Shenan town.
This came two days after an Iraqi ISIS official was killed in a joint Security operation carried out in the early hours of Friday by Syrian Democratic Forces, under protection by Coalition aircraft, in Al-Busayrah city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
SOHR sources reported hearing successive explosions in the region due to the clashes which erupted between the security forces and the suspect and lasted for hours.
According to SOHR sources, the official hailed from Rawa area in Iraq, and he was hiding in Al-Busayrah city.
