Following financial dispute | Civilian shot dead by another in Al-Raqqah city

Al-Raqqah province: A civilian was shot dead with three gunshots by another person near Qaba’a mosque in eastern Jisr Al-Romaneiyah in Al-Raqqah city, following financial dispute between them, where members of the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” intervened and arrested the killer.

 

The Syrian Observatory has documented 49 murder crimes in SDF-controlled areas since early 2024, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motivations behind the others remained unknown. These murders left 53 civilian fatalities, including 40 men, five children and eight women; they are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Al-Hasakah: 18 civilians, including two children and three women.

 

  • Deir Ezzor: 17 civilians, including a child and two women.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: 14 civilians, including two children and three women.

 

  • Aleppo: Four men; three men in Manbij and a man in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani).
