Security chaos | Civilian in his 50s shot de*ad by unidentified gu*nmen in Daraa

Daraa province: Unidentified gunmen opened fire directly on a civilian in his 50s in Nawa City western of Daraa, killing him immediately before fleeing to an unknown destination. The identities and motivations of the gunmen remain unknown.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 129 murders in regime-controlled areas since early 2024, where domestic violence and armed robberies were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 140 fatalities: seven children, 21 women and 112 young and adult men. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:

• Daraa: 38 murder crimes left 32 men, three children and eight women dead.

• Al-Suwaidaa: 11 murder crimes left nine men a little boy and a woman dead.

• Rif Dimashq: 29 murder crimes left 25 men, two children and seven women dead.

• Homs: 14 murder crimes left 13 men and a little girl dead.

• Hama: Eight murder crimes left eight men dead.

• Al-Hasakah: Two murder crimes left two men dead.

• Deir Ezzor: Eight murder crimes left seven men and a woman dead.

• Damascus: Five murder crimes left two women and three men dead.

• Latakia: Four murder crimes left four men and a woman dead.

• Tartus: Six murder crimes left five men dead.

• Al-Quneitra: One murder crime left a man dead.

• Aleppo: Three murder crimes left a woman and two men dead.
