Al-Raqqah | Professional projects prepared to integrate women returning from Al-Hawl camp
Yesterday, an exhibition of handmade products was held in Al-Raqqah city presented by women returning from Al-Hawl camp.
Several social centres and organisations in the city are working to take care of the affairs of all women returning from Al-Hawl camp to the living and food condition, holding vocational courses and livelihoods, and providing documents for them and their children.
According to SOHR activists in Al-Raqqah, more than 150 women returning from Al-Hawl camp, under the sponsorship of sheikhs of Al-Raqqah tribes, underwent community integration programs, educational courses and psychological support at the Social Welfare Centre, which is one of the most prominent centres, in partnership with organisations operating in the city, in order to provide care for their living conditions.
According to Syrian Observatory sources in Al-Raqqah, since 2018, nearly 1,000 families of women and children have left Al-Hawl camp under the sponsorship of sheikhs and tribal notables, most of them children and widows. The most prominent suffering of these families is the muffled restrictions of children, the absence of breadwinners, unemployment and bullying.
