Following threats | ISIS cells attack oil truck in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: Gunmen of ISIS cells targeted, with machineguns, an oil truck near Jadeed Ekedat town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside. However, no casualties have been reported.

 

On May 31, SOHR sources reported that ISIS cells continued to threaten the owners of oil trucks of SDF , where they stuck leaflets on the walls in Al-Baseiyrah town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside and the village of Al-Harijiyah in northern Deir Ezzor countryside, in which they threatened to target the trucks that move oil from the eastern and western wells.

 

SOHR activists documented 129 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 67 fatalities:

 

  • 43 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

 

  • Nine ISIS members.

 

  • Four guards worked for the Autonomous Administration.

 

  • 11 civilians, including a child and a witch.

 

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Deir Ezzor: 108 attacks left 30 combatants, ten civilians, including a child and a witch, and five ISIS members dead.

 

  • Al-Hasakah: 13 attacks left seven combatants, four ISIS members and a civilian dead.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: eight attacks left six combatants and four guards of civil institutions of the Autonomous Administration dead
